The seoIQ Health Index is a composite score from 0 to 100 calculated using a transparent, reproducible methodology designed to accurately reflect real-world search engine ranking factors. Unlike opaque proprietary scores from other SEO tools, our methodology is fully documented so users can understand exactly how their score is calculated and what drives changes. The scoring framework uses four weighted pillars: Indexability and Critical Access at 30 percent weight is the most heavily weighted pillar because pages that cannot be indexed receive zero organic traffic regardless of content quality or technical optimization. This pillar evaluates HTTPS enforcement, canonical tag implementation, meta robots noindex directives, homepage status codes, and error page prevalence. Technical Structure at 25 percent weight measures heading hierarchy including duplicate and missing titles and H1 tags, structured data presence and validity, orphan page detection, internal linking density, and content organization patterns. On-Page Optimization at 20 percent weight analyzes title tag length and uniqueness, meta description presence and quality, image alt text coverage, and content depth measured by word count thresholds. Crawl Efficiency and Performance at 25 percent weight assesses server response times, redirect chain length and count, crawl depth distribution, HTML document sizes, caching header configuration, and homepage internal link count. Penalties follow a nonlinear curve: critical issues receive an exponentially increasing penalty of 15 points for the first issue plus 10 additional points for each subsequent critical issue, high severity issues deduct 12 points each, medium issues deduct 5 points, and low issues deduct 2 points. Info-level findings are purely informational and carry zero penalty. Premium findings such as competitor analysis and backlink profiles are excluded from score calculations entirely.
